What Do We Do?
Based in Alpharetta, Georgia, we teach a mat based targeted mobility training program incorporating passive stretching. It may sound a little intimidating but it is a powerful practice that can be utilized by all. Classes are taught in both English and Japanese.
All fitness levels are welcome!
What is Passive Stretching?
Passive stretching is a method of stretching that requires complete relaxation using external forces such as a resistance band, towel, another person, or gravity to contribute to your range of motion. In our program, we rely on the power of gravity to help elongate the muscles creating flexibility and improving mobility. This is not your average stretching program. Poses are very minimal and are held anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes maximum.
Are Props Used?
Students are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat, yoga strap, and yoga blocks to our sessions. However, we want to ensure that everyone can fully participate regardless of their budget, so feel free to bring alternatives such as a towel, belt, or even a stack of books as substitutes for props. Our aim is to make yoga accessible to all.
